Psychiatric Nurse I (LPN) - Full-Time, Day Shift - Float / Flexible Schedule

Job Description

WellPower is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse I (LPN) to join their Crisis Services team. The role involves working full-time between the Denver Walk-In Crisis Center and the Behavioral Health Solutions Center, with the flexibility to select three open day shifts per week across both sites. The nurse will obtain and record clinical information, provide clinical services within a multidisciplinary team, and assist consumers with psychological and social development.

• Provide psychological problem identification and crisis interventions.
• Provide limited case management services.
• Coordinate consumer's use of WellPower programs and community resources.
• Coordinate medical care with clinical staff and psychiatrists.
• Draw blood for lab work.
• Monitor vital signs.
• Administer medications, including intramuscular injections.
• Maintain clinical records.

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of experience working with consumers with a serious and persistent mental illness preferred.
• Graduation from accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as a Practical Nurse in good standing in Colorado.
