Job Description
WellPower is seeking a Licensed Co-Responder to join its team in Denver. This role involves providing crucial support to individuals with behavioral/mental health concerns in the community, working in partnership with the Denver Police Department and other agencies. The Co-Responder will respond to 911 calls, conduct evaluations, and provide crisis intervention and referrals.
The Co-Responder program is a collaboration between WellPower and the Denver Police Department (DPD). The program aims to reduce mental health issues, improve coordination, and reduce costs associated with emergency services.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to mental health-related 911 calls and provide psychological evaluations.
- Provide crisis interventions and referrals to consumers who are not arrested.
- Develop crisis-related treatment plans.
- Provide psychological consultation.
- Coordinate client's use of city programs and community resources.
- Coordinate medication needs.
- Maintain clinical records.
- Participate in meetings and supervisory sessions.
- Perform mental health hold evaluations.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in social work, psychology, or similar field.
- Current license in the State of Colorado as a LCSW/LPC/LMFT or the ability to obtain licensure within 6-12 months of hire.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in clinical social work.
- Experience working with moderate to severe and persistently mentally ill populations.
- Must pass additional background checks through the Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) division.
- Must wear a bulletproof vest during shifts.
