Founding Engineer (m/f/d)

Job Description

Project A is seeking a Founding Engineer to help shape a high-potential startup from its earliest stages. This role is based in Berlin.

The Founding Engineer will collaborate with founders to define the technical vision, build the initial product version, and make critical decisions to establish a foundation for scalable growth.

In this role, the Founding Engineer will:

• Take ownership of the technical direction, architecture, and initial product build
• Develop and ship early-stage MVPs and iterate rapidly based on user feedback
• Collaborate with founders and early team members to define the company’s roadmap
• Make strategic decisions on tooling, infrastructure, and engineering best practices
• Hire and grow the engineering team as the company scales

Requirements:

• Strong technical skills to build and ship products from scratch
• Experience with full-stack development or a strong backend/frontend specialization
• Entrepreneurial mindset thriving in ambiguity
• Interest in solving real-world problems with technology
• Prior startup experience or side projects
