WellPower is seeking a part-time Psychiatric Nurse I (LPN) or II (RN) for their Solutions Center. The Psychiatric Nurse will work on Saturdays from 7am to 7:30pm. The company prides itself on providing support for career development and values diverse perspectives.

Role Involves:

• Obtaining, recording, and communicating important clinical information.
• Providing clinical services within a multidisciplinary team.
• Providing psychological problem identification, crisis interventions.
• Providing limited case management services to consumers as needed.
• Assisting consumers with psychological and social development and rehabilitation.
• Coordinating consumer’s use of other WellPower programs and outside community resources.
• Coordinating medical care and intervention with other clinical staff and psychiatrist(s).
• Monitoring consumer’s vital signs and administering medications.
• Maintaining accurate and timely clinical records.
• Participating in team/organization meetings.

Requirements:

• Graduation from accredited school of nursing.
• Current Colorado RN or LPN licensure.
• 1-3 years of experience working with consumers with mental illness preferred.
• Knowledge or ability to learn and practice trauma-informed principles.
• Knowledge of psychotherapy methods and community resources.
• Ability to assess crisis situations and intervene appropriately.
• Familiarity with the DSM IV and diagnostic techniques.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
