WellPower is seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Nurse to join its team. The Psychiatric Nurse will play a vital role in obtaining, recording, and communicating important clinical information, as well as providing clinical services within a multidisciplinary team environment. Responsibilities Include: - Providing psychological problem identification and crisis interventions.
- Providing limited case management services to consumers as needed.
- Assisting consumers with psychological and social development and rehabilitation.
- Coordinating consumer’s use of other WellPower programs and outside community resources.
- Coordinating medical care and intervention with other clinical staff and psychiatrist(s).
- Monitoring consumer’s vital signs.
- Obtaining UA's and blood alcohol levels to make referrals to higher levels of care.
- Administering medications including intramuscular medications.
- Maintaining accurate and timely clinical records consistent with WellPower standards.
- Participating in team/organization meetings, in-services, and supervisory sessions as required.
- Maintaining a trauma informed environment of wellbeing.
Requirements: - Graduation from accredited school of nursing.
- Licensed as a Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse in good standing with the Board of Nursing of the State of Colorado.
- 1-3 years of experience working with consumers with a serious and persistent mental illness preferred.
- Knowledge or ability to learn and practice trauma informed principles and practices.
- Knowledge of methods of psychotherapy and community resources.
- Ability to assess crisis situations and intervene appropriately.
