Sony Interactive Entertainment is seeking an Accounting Staff/Leader candidate to contribute to the PlayStation business. This role offers the opportunity to gain cutting-edge knowledge and experience in the gaming industry.

The role involves working as part of SIE’s Global Accounting & Treasury (GAT) department. GAT is present in all locations where SIE conducts business. One GAT organization, Financial Reporting, is located in Tokyo, San Mateo (USA), and London (UK), and is responsible for statutory accounting reporting. The Tokyo team consists of 5 members and is responsible for stand-alone financial closing, sub-consolidated reporting, and global management consolidation.

Responsibilities include:

• Consolidated financial accounting operations (IFRS, consolidated accounting)
• Financial performance reporting (to management and headquarters)
• Audit support (consolidated purpose, company law, SOX)
• Business improvement projects (related party transactions, etc.)
• Global accounting treatment alignment
• Preparing and implementing accounting instructions in English.
• Reporting financial results to management, grasping the company's financial condition and business results comprehensively, and reporting information that contributes to management decisions to management.
• Working with overseas members and participate in agreement processes with auditing firms to achieve unified accounting processes between Japanese, US, and European group companies

Requirements:

• 3+ years of practical experience in consolidated financial closing or accounting audits in a business company (with thousands of employees or more) or an audit firm.
• Pass Japanese Bookkeeping Test level 2 or possess equivalent accounting knowledge necessary for financial analysis.
• Business level English (experience using email creation, speaking at online meetings with overseas locations, etc.)
• TOEIC score of 800 or higher
• Business level Japanese (Japanese Language Proficiency Test N1 or equivalent)
