This job offer is for a System Software Developer at Sony Interactive Entertainment, also known as PlayStation. The Role Involves:

  • Designing Bluetooth or other wireless communication protocols on PlayStation system software.
  • Implementing software for the designed protocols.
  • Integrating PlayStation's unique functions into the system in an optimal way.
  • Working on protocol stacks and device drivers.
  • Implementing new Bluetooth profiles and original protocols.
  • Porting open-source protocol stacks.
  • Evaluating and supporting new wireless chips, including driver design.
  • Handling wireless certification and support.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Bluetooth protocols and experience in product-level development and implementation.
  • Experience in software development using C/C++.
  • Experience in porting open-source Bluetooth stacks such as BlueZ.
  • Experience in developing protocol stacks, device drivers, or real-time OS on Unix-based OS such as Linux or FreeBSD.
  • Experience and knowledge of Audio Codecs.
  • Willingness to take on the challenge of developing wireless protocols and products for PlayStation.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to solve problems by involving others beyond one's own responsibilities.
