Sony Interactive Entertainment is seeking a Kernel Developer to join their PlayStation team in Tokyo. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing the kernel portion of the OS for entertainment game consoles. They will work on various kernel development tasks, focusing on areas such as the thread scheduler, virtual memory system, kernel facilities for debuggers and performance analysis tools, device driver development and maintenance (excluding USB, network device, and Bluetooth drivers), security enhancements to counter kernel exploits, and file systems. The role involves collaborating with a team to design systems beyond the kernel level and will be working with other engineers within the company.
  • Developing the kernel portion of the OS for entertainment game consoles.
