Job Description
City Teaching Alliance is seeking individuals for their Resident Teacher program. This four-year program aims to address educational inequity by training high-quality teachers in urban schools across Baltimore, Dallas, DC, and Philadelphia.City Teaching Alliance offers a comprehensive program that includes a residency year, a Master's degree from American University, dual teaching certifications, and ongoing coaching and mentoring.Role involves:
  • Co-teaching in urban classrooms during the residency year
  • Earning a Master's degree from American University
  • Obtaining dual teaching certifications
  • Receiving 1:1 coaching and mentorship
Requirements:
  • Earn an undergraduate degree by June 2025
  • A minimum 2.5 undergraduate GPA
  • Be a US Citizen, Permanent Resident, or DACA recipient
Benefits:
  • Stipend during the first year ($30,000 - $40,000)
