Senior iOS Software Engineer

Job Description

Perplexity AI is seeking a Senior iOS Engineer to contribute to their innovative search and interaction platform. The candidate will be instrumental in developing new features and enhancing the performance of Perplexity's iOS application. This role involves close collaboration with a small, agile team to design and implement cutting-edge mobile experiences.Responsibilities include:

• Developing a native iOS app for Perplexity's evolving product.
• Defining processes around mobile development, including planning, testing, releasing, and monitoring.
• Collaborating with the core team to design and implement novel mobile experiences.

Qualifications include:

• 5+ years of industry experience.
• Strong Swift fundamentals and a proven track record of working with a modern iOS stack built with Swift, SwiftUI (iOS16+) and UIKit.
• A passion for building nice UI, creating good UX, and writing reusable and testable code.
• Understanding of low-level intricacies and ability to profile and measure app performance and speed.
• Comfort working with a small, fast-moving team and willingness to take ownership.
• A passion for iOS development and enjoyment in experimenting with new iOS and iPadOS features.
