Senior Backend Engineer

Job Description

Solsten is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join their engineering team in Minneapolis, MN. The Senior Backend Engineer will be responsible for designing software architecture, implementing microservices in Go, and writing reusable, testable, and efficient code. The ideal candidate will have experience with distributed systems, cloud platforms, and Agile/Scrum environments.

The role involves:

• Designing software architecture based on business requirements.
• Implementing Microservices in Go.
• Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code.
• Creating optimized database schemas.
• Advising and implementing best practices.

Requirements:

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of practical backend development experience.
• Experience building Microservices in Go.
• Knowledge of distributed systems technologies.
• Experience with commercial Cloud platforms.
• Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
