Job Description
Marqeta is seeking a highly motivated Account Executive to drive the success of its Fintech business. This role involves cultivating relationships with executives and entrepreneurs, collaborating with internal teams to define solutions, and originating new customer opportunities. The Account Executive will manage deals from the initial stage through contract negotiation and closing.

The role involves:
  • Closing and launching strategic customers.
  • Qualifying leads and prioritizing customer opportunities.
  • Managing real customer opportunities through a sales process.
  • Contracting with the Legal team.
  • Understanding Marqeta's technical capabilities.
  • Selling the partnership vision.

Marqeta requires:
  • 5+ years of experience in sales, partnerships, or strategic business development.
  • Payments experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the fintech ecosystem and B2B technology applications.
  • Financial acumen and comfort with complex deal structures.
  • Confidence in serving as the face of Marqeta.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or comparable experience.
