Marqeta is seeking a Senior Risk Analyst to join their team in Warsaw, Poland. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enabling the transaction monitoring team to mitigate risk and financial loss associated with money laundering and fraud. This involves data analysis, collaboration, and information sharing with client programs and partner banks.
The Senior Risk Analyst will collaborate with innovative companies, leveraging Marqeta's platform to bring their payment business ideas to life. The role is based on a hybrid work model, requiring 3 days in the office.
Role involves:
- Working with internal and external teams to understand payment card programs.
- Analyzing transactional data to identify suspicious activity.
- Researching publicly available datasets for additional context.
- Monitoring rule performance and refining rules for programs.
- Participating in project definition and idea generation.
Requirements:
- 4-5 years of industry experience in data analysis and visualization.
- Proficiency in SQL, Java, Python (or R), and Tableau (or Looker).
- Experience in applying analytical/statistical methods, rule writing, and testing.
- Visa/MC Operational Experience or Settlement Experience
- CAMS, CFE, CFCS, or equivalent certification(s).
- Effective communication skills in English.
