Marqeta is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its Transaction Auditing team. This role involves designing, building, and operating systems that ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance acros Marqeta's Transaction Domain. The engineer will lead a small scrum team, focusing on infrastructure, services, and APIs to maintain the correctness of all financially impactful transactions. The Role Involves:
- Designing and implementing high-performance solutions for large-scale financial data and compliance.
- Developing software and infrastructure to achieve efficient releases through automation.
- Debugging critical production issues across services.
- Analyzing data, detecting patterns, and creating documentation for non-technical audiences.
- Diagnosing and resolving production issues.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of industry experience in software development.
- Experience with Java, service-oriented architectures, and cloud computing (AWS preferred).
- Ability to develop clean, readable, and error-free code with documentation and testing.
- Understanding of designs and technology choices.
- Clear communication skills.
- Humility, empathy, and a positive approach to feedback.
- Ability to work productively on cross-functional teams.
