Senior Software Engineer - Infrastructure as Code Team

Job Description

Marqeta is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Infrastructure as Code team in Toronto, Canada. This role is crucial in shaping and advancing the company's fintech solutions by leading innovation and ensuring reliability within their cloud-based infrastructure.Role involves:

• Designing, implementing, and optimizing software solutions for resilient and scalable infrastructure provisioning.
• Architecting and developing advanced automation strategies to enhance safety standards and compliance.
• Shaping Infrastructure as Code (IaC) policies and developing sophisticated IaC modules.
• Driving innovation in tooling to improve developer productivity and reduce operational overhead.
• Collaborating with the security team to implement robust security measures for cloud infrastructure.
• Leading cross-functional projects to achieve infrastructure excellence and participating in yearly audits.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, plus 5 years of relevant experience in software engineering and cloud infrastructure.
• Mastery of programming languages and scripting for automation (Python, Ruby, or Go).
• Extensive experience with AWS services (CodeBuild, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, AWS access controls).
• Deep expertise in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure as code.
• Exceptional communication skills and a proven record of leading team-driven initiatives.
• Significant experience in designing and implementing advanced software delivery pipelines and CI/CD systems.
