Consultant, Retail Operations Technology at Orium

Orium is seeking a Consultant, Retail Operations Technology to contribute to their expertise in retail technology and operations. The consultant will work closely with enterprise clients to define and implement innovative solutions, including OMS, POS, and PIM platforms. The role involves aligning technology strategies with business objectives, facilitating collaborative workshops, and ensuring seamless project delivery.

Responsibilities include:

• Acting as a functional specialist and subject matter expert on retail operations projects.
• Serving as the main point of contact for clients, building trust and understanding their business needs.
• Leading discovery sessions to define project scope, identify business requirements, and address platform limitations.
• Developing key client-facing deliverables such as functional requirements documents and implementation plans and backlogs.
• Facilitating client workshops to educate, plan roadmaps, define project KPIs, and align on project requirements.
• Providing SME support for OMS, PIM, and POS sales opportunities.
• Collaborating with industry partners to create impactful joint marketing initiatives.

Requirements:

• Deep expertise in the retail industry with a thorough understanding of retail operations, technology, and best practices.
• Proven ability to speak the language of retailers, with a strong retail background.
• Expertise in consulting and discovery.
• Several years of experience in product and/or project management, ideally within a consulting or professional services environment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
