Construction Manager

Job Description

Faropoint is seeking a Construction Manager to lead tenant buildouts, capital improvements, and property due diligence for their industrial real estate portfolio. This role involves collaborating with property managers, general contractors, tenants, and brokers on project deliveries from start to finish. The Construction Manager will be responsible for project costs, schedules, performance, and safety, working in various settings including office, commercial, and industrial environments.

• Work with property managers, general contractors, sub-contractors, tenants, and brokers on cradle-to-grave project deliveries.
• Develop scope, coordinate bidding, and negotiate contracts for tenant buildouts and capital improvement projects.
• Assist the acquisition team in developing property business plans.
• Accountable for project costs & reconciliation, schedules, performance, and safety.
• Manage communications, escalations, and resolve client/tenant issues.
• Perform project value engineering.
• Adhere to all of Faropoint’s policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Construction, or Civil Engineering and three years of relevant working experience.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in project management/execution.
• In-depth knowledge of commercial roofing, asphalt, building construction, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and other construction documents.
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office, MS Project required.
• Experience with Yardi Systems is a plus.
• Experience in the real estate industry is a plus.
