Lightspeed is seeking a Principal HR Business Partner to join their North American People and Culture team. This role reports to the Head of People and Culture, North America, and will directly impact Lightspeed's ability to attract, retain, and develop top talent.

The Principal HR Business Partner will provide strategic partnership to commercial sectors, collaborate with centers of expertise, and actively participate in complex projects. They will also serve as a trusted advisor to senior management, influence sustainable changes, and manage talent effectively.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing strategic partnership to commercial sectors.
  • Collaborating with centers of expertise to find innovative solutions.
  • Participating in complex, multi-functional projects.
  • Advising senior management as a trusted counselor.
  • Influencing sustainable changes and improving management effectiveness.
  • Managing talent to ensure the right people are in the right roles.
  • Leading employee initiatives and providing guidance in areas like career development and compensation.
  • Contributing to sound business management by providing data-driven insights.
  • Leading special projects as required.

Requirements:

  • At least 10 years of experience as a Human Resources Business Partner.
  • Excellent communication skills in both French and English.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources (Master's preferred).
  • Experience working in a large, global matrix organization.
  • Ability to quickly establish trust and credibility with diverse personalities and C-level executives.
  • Project management expertise and strategic planning skills.
  • Team management experience.
