Développeur(se) Backend II at Lightspeed Commerce (FR)

Lightspeed is seeking a talented Backend Developer II to join one of its dynamic teams in Montreal. The candidate will contribute to the growth and development of the Hospitality product group, supporting the expansion into new markets and strengthening the comprehensive commerce platform. They will be part of a dynamic and collaborative team, dedicated to improving engineering practices, implementing advanced technologies, and maintaining an engaging work environment. The role involves redefining hospitality experiences worldwide and being at the forefront of hospitality technology.

What this role involves:

• Collaborating with industry experts to enhance the omnichannel product by developing innovative features and workflows.
• Enriching and extending the capabilities of the product by contributing to the microservices-based platform hosted on AWS.
• Balancing the creation of new features and maintaining existing integrations with partners, prioritizing new feature development.
• Reporting to the Development Team Lead, maintaining strong interaction with Product Managers, Product Designers, and Platform teams.
• Participating in daily agile ceremonies, driving innovation, and realizing solution-oriented ideas.
• Advocating for superior code quality and increased accountability, actively contributing to the health of the infrastructure.
• Fostering growth within the team by disseminating knowledge and best practices.

Requirements:

• Excellent command of Java with 3+ years of production experience.
• In-depth knowledge of the Spring framework.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Strong commitment to testing, with experience in automated testing frameworks.
• Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Proficiency in English, demonstrating effective communication skills.
