Brazil General Manager (Contract) at Pyka

Pyka is seeking a General Manager for a contract position in Mato Grosso, Brazil. This role will focus on supporting the development and commercialization of Pyka's autonomous aircraft, ensuring successful operation with launch customers.The General Manager will oversee operations, align with Pyka’s strategic objectives, manage staffing and resources, and maintain strong customer relationships. They will lead an on-the-ground team and establish scalable systems for future growth. Pyka aims to revolutionize transportation through autonomous electric aviation, focusing on high-value and dangerous jobs.Responsibilities:

• Own customer relationships and trial operations.
• Set and communicate goals to operations personnel.
• Manage a small team of operators and maintenance personnel.
• Maintain a culture of safety.
• Manage complex logistics for flight operations.
• Manage inventory, including import/export.
• Travel to commercial deployments and demonstrations.
• Identify organizational needs and develop processes.
• Support sales in securing new contracts.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Leadership experience in a GM or senior operations role in agriculture or industrial equipment.
• Strong understanding of agriculture spray operations in Mato Grosso.
• Experience managing complex relationships with launch customers.
• Experience managing operational teams remotely and in person.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English.
• Comfortable in a rapidly changing environment.
• Extreme attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites (50% time).
