The Real Estate Development Lead at Taco Bell is responsible for leading franchise development, driving new store growth throughout Canada. The role involves collaborating with franchisees and internal teams on market planning, site sourcing, selection, design, building permits, and construction guidance. They will report to the Manager, Development, and be based in Vaughan, Ontario.
Responsibilities:
- Partner to achieve the Canada national new store Franchise Development Plan and build a pipeline for future franchise development growth.
- Develop, fill, and maintain the pipeline of new restaurants; Forecast the timeline of new restaurant openings and assess risks.
- Engage with the North American Development team to find solutions to development barriers such as impact, site characteristics, viable vehicles, etc.
- Assist in coordinating brand-led development projects across the country.
- Provide field support to the North American Franchise team to support existing asset portfolio strategies and execution including remodels and replacements.
Requirements:
- BS/BA degree in Finance/Accounting/Real Estate; or equivalent years of experience.
- At least 4+ years of development-related experience; franchising or restaurant industry experience with proven ability to break through the existing development complexity a plus.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and advanced organizational skills.
- The ability to think and act quickly and effectively under pressure while maintaining a calm, professional attitude, even in crises.
- The ability to review and understand financial statements and other legal documents and the ability to understand overarching strategies and restaurant economics.
