Senior Backend Engineer at PayPay Card

PayPay Card Corporation is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to contribute to the evolution of its FinTech services. The role involves designing, implementing, and delivering large-scale systems with a focus on scalability and maintainability. The successful candidate will manage stakeholders, leverage infrastructure to solve complex problems, and act as a gatekeeper for team quality standards. They will also triage, debug, and resolve product issues, mentor team members, and safeguard team quality standards.

What this role involves:

• Designing and delivering large-scale, complex systems.
• Managing stakeholders, including product managers and frontend engineers.
• Leveraging infrastructure to solve large-scale problems.
• Acting as a gatekeeper to the team's quality standards.
• Triaging, debugging, and resolving product issues.
• Mentoring team members and safeguarding team quality standards.

Requirements:

• Experience in any OOP based language (e.g., Kotlin, Java, C#, Scala).
• Experience with RDBMS and NoSQL databases.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
• In-depth understanding of concurrency and distributed computing.
• Degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science or 5+ years equivalent experience in SaaS platform development.
• English business proficiency.
