PayPay Card is seeking a Backend Engineer to join their team. The company was established in 2021 to provide user-friendly fintech services, integrated with the PayPay platform, which has over 66 million users as of October 2024. The role involves working on the development of a cashless service that will become the standard in Japan.

The Backend Engineer will work closely with product managers, designers, and QA engineers to design and develop scalable systems that deliver excellent user experiences. They will also participate in code refactoring and algorithm improvements to maximize system performance.

Responsibilities:

• Designing and developing scalable systems.
• Designing and developing microservices.
• Participating in code refactoring and algorithm improvements.
• Improving API functionality, performance tuning, debugging, and troubleshooting.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of system development experience.
• Experience with object-oriented programming languages.
• Experience with Java and Spring Boot.
