Job Description
PayPay Card is seeking an Engineering Team Leader to drive innovation in the credit card industry and enhance user payment experiences. This role involves strategically improving the technical and organizational capabilities of the backend engineering team, and constructing systems that advance service development. The Engineering Team Leader will manage a team of 5-10 engineers and oversee projects involving 10-30 members.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting comprehensive reviews of engineer outputs.
- Designing and implementing strategies to optimize product quality, productivity, and performance.
- Managing systems within the responsible domain, including project progression and defining system requirements.
- Collaborating with diverse stakeholders to develop organizational and architectural roadmaps.
- Supporting the skill enhancement of engineers and fostering a positive engineering culture.
- Providing growth support to team members through 1-on-1 meetings.
Requirements:
- Experience in team management.
- Minimum of 3 years of development experience in system development (backend or frontend) within a business company.
- Experience leading scalable architectures (microservices or event-driven architectures) and system design.
- Proven leadership in guiding and supporting the growth of strategic engineering talent.
- Strong negotiation and coordination skills with various stakeholders.
