Job Description
PayPay Card is seeking a Data Engineer to join their team responsible for the development and operation of the data infrastructure that supports data analysis. The company was established in 2021 to provide user-friendly fintech services, integrated with the PayPay payment platform, which has over 69 million users as of May 2025. This role involves a wide range of tasks, from constructing data pipelines to creating dashboards and reports in collaboration with the marketing department.
The Data Engineer will play a crucial role in strengthening the existing data infrastructure and introducing new mechanisms to support PayPay Card's business growth. The company is looking for an engineer who can contribute to the development, operation, and maintenance of the current DWH, as well as participate in the development of a new data infrastructure over the next few years.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and operating a data infrastructure using BigQuery on Google Cloud.
- Proposing and implementing improvements to the platform, development environment, and workflows.
- Addressing data-related requests from user departments.
- Participating in planning meetings with business and planning teams.
- System development from requirements definition to release in the data infrastructure.
- Maintenance and operation for system and service sustainment.
- Root cause analysis and response to system failures such as incidents.
Requirements:
- Experience in constructing and operating DWH using BigQuery.
- Development experience in Python.
- Development and operational experience on Google Cloud.
- Development and operational experience in ETL processing.
