Upbound is seeking a Director of Alliances and Partnerships to build strategic alliances with major cloud vendors and drive go-to-market strategies. The director will establish and nurture relationships with key technology partners, system integrators, and channel partners. This role is critical in scaling business growth through a well-structured partner ecosystem. He/she will represent Upbound at industry events. They will work closely with product, engineering, marketing, and customer success teams.
Role Involves: - Identifying, negotiating, and building long-term relationships with cloud providers and partners.
- Developing and managing a structured partner program.
- Building the ecosystem around Upbound and Crossplane.
- Working with sales teams to align partner-driven opportunities.
- Defining and executing the partnership strategy.
- Identifying strategic partnerships for customer acquisition.
- Driving the expansion of the partner ecosystem.
- Developing KPIs for partner success.
- Representing Upbound at industry events.
Requirements: - 8+ years in strategic partnerships or alliances, preferably in cloud, SaaS, or tech.
- Proven success in driving revenue and scaling partner ecosystems.
- Experience negotiating complex contracts and managing partner relationships.
- In-depth understanding of the cloud computing landscape (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with cloud management, optimization, and cost-saving solutions.
- Strong understanding of the partner ecosystem (ISVs, VARs, MSPs, SIs).
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
- Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot).
