Upbound is seeking a Staff Solutions Architect to join their go-to-market team. This role is focused on the post-sales implementation of Upbound's products and the adoption of solutions. The Staff Solutions Architect will play a crucial role in driving and executing the technical implementation of Upbound's products and solutions.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the pre-sales team to ensure a smooth transition for customers, understand customer environments, and design suitable architectures. They will also troubleshoot technical challenges, write code, and contribute to improving customer deployments.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with the pre-sales team for smooth customer transitions.
- Understand customer requirements and design appropriate solutions.
- Ensure successful adoption of Upbound and Crossplane technology.
- Perform technical discovery and contribute to Statements of Work.
- Troubleshoot and solve technical challenges.
- Improve customer deployments by writing code and fixing bugs.
- Build and maintain cloud native reference platforms.
- Work cross-departmentally to find solutions.
- Represent customer needs internally.
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor.
Requirements:
- Experience writing and maintaining code that interfaces with the Kubernetes API.
- Experience managing production Kubernetes deployments.
- Background in platform engineering/SRE with building an IDP.
- Understanding of highly scaled and reliable services in major cloud providers.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience working with customers to solve technical issues.
- Experience deploying Cloud Native Landscape projects into production.
- Experience with modern operational and application delivery tools.
- Programming skills in a modern language (Go is ideal).
- Ability to work closely with diverse teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
