Staff Machine Learning Engineer

Job Description

Angi is seeking a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to enhance their platform. This role involves developing advanced machine learning and AI models to improve marketplace algorithms. They will design and implement MLOps practices for seamless model deployment and scalability.

The Staff Machine Learning Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data-driven solutions. They will develop a technical vision and enhance existing products with innovative machine learning capabilities. This role also includes guiding junior team members. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Role Involves:

• Leading the development of advanced machine learning and AI models.
• Designing and architecting robust MLOps practices for model deployment and scalability.
• Collaborating with engineers, ML infrastructure team, data scientists, and product managers.
• Developing a long-term technical vision and roadmap.
• Mentoring junior team members.

Requirements:

• Master’s or Ph.D. in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics).
• 7+ years of experience in data science and machine learning.
• Knowledge of large-scale distributed application architecture.
• Practical knowledge of advanced machine learning and deep learning algorithms.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Excellent communication skills.
