Staff Software Engineer

Job Description

DoubleVerify is seeking a Staff Software Engineer (Data) to join their team in New York, NY. This role involves designing and building world-class platforms to measure and optimize ad performance. The engineer will ensure scalability and reliability of systems processing billions of real-time transactions daily.

• Writing high-performance code for services.
• Architecting and building big data processing platforms.
• Providing feedback to junior developers.
• Exploring new data processing and analysis methods.
• Designing, developing, and testing data-driven products, features, and APIs.
• Improving deliverables and SDLC processes.
• Operating production environments and resolving issues.
• Understanding business needs and establishing priorities.
• Bridging the gap between business requirements and technical details.
• Working in agile teams for product development and delivery.

• 5+ years of programming experience in Python, Scala, or related language.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems like Airflow, DBT, Big Query, Spark, Pub Sub Eco System.
• Experience building data pipelines at scale.
• Hands-on experience building low latency, high-throughput APIs.
• Excellent SQL query writing abilities.
• Experience with dependency management tools such as Airflow.
• Experience with DevOps domain, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience in Mentoring and growing a diverse team of talented data engineers
• B.S./M.S. in Computer Science or a related field.
• Excellent communication skills and a team player.
