Accountant, Investment Accounting at Bosa Properties Inc.

Bosa Properties is seeking an Accountant to join their Investment Accounting team. The role involves managing partner and joint venture entities, along with investments in other operating companies and capital placements outside of real estate. He/she will be working with seasoned professionals and provide financial insights to enable data-driven decisions.

The role involves:
• Reviewing and reconciling trial balances for assigned investment entities
• Tracking and reviewing monthly sales and providing variance reports to management
• Creating budgets and forecasts for company managers
• Analyzing cost discrepancies and creating reports for management to help make investment decisions
• Reviewing gross margin and net income for assigned portfolios monthly
• Recording accruals, adjustments, and amortization
• Creating templates to track and record sales efficiently
• Supporting the preparation of documents for external audits
• Identifying opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve reporting accuracy

Requirements:
• Post secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• Actively working towards a CPA designation
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
• Fundamental understanding of accounting principles, practices and consolidation procedures
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities and tasks
• Experience with Yardi Voyager is considered an asset
