Job Description
Delasport is seeking a Data Protection Officer to ensure the company's data protection policies align with GDPR, ePrivacy Directive, and global privacy laws. The Data Protection Officer will monitor legislative changes, conduct Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) to mitigate risks, and oversee data minimization, retention policies, and breach management for compliance and security. They will also deliver privacy training programs, manage Data Subject Requests (DSARs), and collaborate with various teams to embed privacy-by-design.Role involves:
- Developing and maintaining data protection policies.
- Monitoring legislative changes.
- Conducting Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).
- Overseeing data minimization and retention policies.
- Delivering privacy training programs.
- Managing Data Subject Requests (DSARs).
- Collaborating with Legal, IT Security, HR, and Compliance teams.
- Managing third-party vendor compliance.
- Conducting internal audits.
Requirements:
- Minimum of two years of experience as a data protection lead or officer with a related diploma/certificate, or three years of experience without.
- Knowledge of GDPR and local data protection legislation in European countries.
- Strong understanding of the ePrivacy Directive.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
