Data Protection Officer at Delasport

Delasport, a leading iGaming software provider, is seeking a Data Protection Officer to join their team in Sofia, Bulgaria. The Data Protection Officer will contribute to maintaining data protection policies in line with GDPR and other global privacy laws. They will monitor legislative changes, conduct privacy impact assessments, and oversee data breach management. The role involves collaborating with various teams, managing third-party vendor compliance, and conducting internal audits.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain data protection policies.
• Monitor legislative changes and advise leadership.
• Conduct Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).
• Oversee data minimization, retention policies, and breach management.
• Deliver privacy training programs.
• Ensure Data Subject Requests (DSARs) and regulatory reporting are managed.
• Collaborate with Legal, IT Security, HR, and Compliance teams.
• Manage third-party vendor compliance.
• Conduct internal audits and report compliance status.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a data protection lead or officer with related diploma/certificate, or 3 years of experience without.
• Knowledge of GDPR and local data protection legislation in European countries.
• Strong understanding of the ePrivacy Directive.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
