Information Security Analyst at Pico

Pico is seeking an Information Security Analyst to join their security operations team in Dublin. The Information Security Analyst will monitor and analyze security events, detect and mitigate potential threats, and stay updated with emerging security vulnerabilities and trends. The analyst will participate in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures, leverage network monitoring, logging and SIEM systems to produce alerts, audit data and reporting to detect suspicious activity, and analyze threat data to determine appropriate responses.

Responsibilities:

• Monitoring, investigating, and reporting security incidents.
• Coordinate and perform internal and external penetration tests, and vulnerability assessment scans.
• Identify and detail information risk, governance, and compliance concepts and principles.
• Monitor and advise on information security issues related to systems, data, and network.
• Identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with the Incident Response team.
• Assist in the creation of security reports and documentation.
• Assist in the implementation and support of security systems.
• Draft corrective action plans and coordinate remediation tasks.
• Investigate and document suspicious activity and reported security incidents.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in information security or related technology experience.
• Strong knowledge of technology and security controls.
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux systems, Active Directory Architecture, EDR, data governance, vulnerability management, SIEM systems, and Information Security compliance and standards.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Server and Network Device Security Hardening.
• Knowledge of incident response processes and frameworks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or equivalent are preferred.
• Technical writing experience with management level reports
• Familiarity with threat intelligence platforms, vulnerability management, and risk assessment methodologies.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automating security tasks is a plus.
