Job Description
ESA is seeking a highly motivated Senior Fish Biologist to join their Pacific Northwest Biological Resources and Land Management team. This role involves collaboration, client service, project management, and ensuring quality work products. The successful candidate will work with various organizations and private clients, focusing on habitat restoration planning and design.Role Involves:
- Serving as a technical specialist for salmon studies and natural resources projects.
- Preparing and managing environmental analyses.
- Leading permitting coordination and agency negotiations.
- Authoring technical reports and biological assessments.
- Managing project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Leading business development efforts and preparing proposals.
- Mentoring junior staff.
Requirements:
- Master’s or PhD in fish biology, aquatic ecology, or related field.
- 10-15 years of experience in salmon ecology.
- Experience in Endangered Species Act Biological Assessment writing and permitting.
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills.
- Experience with client relations management and business development.
- Strong understanding of regulatory permitting.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
