Job Description
ESA is seeking a Principal Air Quality & Acoustics Analyst to lead multifaceted CEQA/NEPA projects. The candidate will collaborate with scientists, engineers, and other specialists on municipal and private projects. They will specialize in air quality, noise, vibration, health risk assessments, greenhouse gas emissions, and hazardous materials. Responsibilities:
- Lead or direct multifaceted CEQA/NEPA projects.
- Manage the development of environmental compliance and planning documents.
- Serve as a CEQA specialist, managing air quality, energy, greenhouse gas, and noise analyses.
- Produce clear and concise technical work and written products.
- Participate in or lead client meetings and community workshops.
- Lead the preparation of proposals for midsized projects.
- Mentor and support junior staff.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in leading community and environmental analyses.
- Comprehensive knowledge of air quality regulations at the federal, state, and local levels.
- Experience working on a variety of project types and environmental documents.
- Familiarity with California Department of Transportation templates.
- Proficiency in emissions and noise modeling software.
- Excellent oral and presentation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
