Environmental Science Associates (ESA) is seeking a Senior Coastal Engineer to lead its coastal engineering practice in Northern California. The ideal candidate will have 20+ years of experience, a passion for coastal processes and engineering with nature, and the desire to lead and mentor a team.
Role Involves:
- Planning, designing, and managing coastal engineering projects.
- Contributing to strategic planning.
- Cultivating best practices and providing technical training.
- Managing workflow and making staffing recommendations.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Requirements:
- Professionally licensed coastal engineer with 20+ years of experience.
- Experience designing and managing coastal engineering projects with an emphasis on nature-based solutions.
- Familiarity with engineering steps from concept to construction bid package.
- Experience leading and managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in coastal engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineers license in California, Washington, and/or Oregon.
