Manager, Cloud Operations

Job Description

Zafin is seeking a Manager, Cloud Operations to lead and optimize its Azure cloud infrastructure and services. This role is critical in ensuring the scalability, reliability, and security of Zafin's cloud environments while driving operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud architectures, automation, and best-in-class operational practices.Role involves:

• Leading the Cloud Operations team.
• Developing and executing a strategic roadmap for cloud operations.
• Overseeing incident management, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.
• Driving automation and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) adoption.
• Optimizing cloud cost management and governance.
• Collaborating with security, compliance, and IT teams.
• Establishing and monitoring KPIs, SLAs, and performance metrics.
• Providing leadership, mentorship, and development opportunities.
• Communicating proactively with customers and internal team members.
• Staying up to date with emerging technologies and industry best practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Certifications on cloud technologies.
• Industry accepted certifications in management space.
• 10+ years of experience in IT operations with at least 5 years focused on cloud services.
• Proven experience in managing cloud environments (AWS or Azure) at an enterprise scale.
• Strong understanding of automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools (Datadog, Splunk, Prometheus, Azure Monitoring etc.).
• Deep knowledge of networking, security best practices, and compliance frameworks (ISO, SOC2, NIST, etc.).
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
