Data & Vizualisation Specialist

Job Description

Zafin is seeking a Data & Visualization Specialist to join their team in Trivandrum, India. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Business Intelligence (BI), data analysis, and visualization, coupled with advanced technical expertise in Azure Data Factory (ADF), SQL, Azure Analysis Services, and Power BI.

In this role, the Data & Visualization Specialist will be responsible for performing ETL operations, designing interactive dashboards, and delivering actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.

What this role involves:

• Designing, building, and managing ETL pipelines in Azure Data Factory.
• Developing and optimizing SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Building and maintaining data models using Azure Analysis Services (AAS).
• Creating, maintaining, and enhancing complex Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Writing and optimizing advanced DAX queries and calculations.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver insights.
• Ensuring data consistency and accuracy through rigorous validation and testing.
• Communicating insights and updates to stakeholders with clear documentation.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Azure Data Factory for building ETL pipelines.
• Strong experience with SQL, including query optimization.
• Knowledge of Azure Analysis Services for data modeling.
• Advanced Power BI skills, including DAX and report development.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric and Azure Analytics (a plus).
• Analytical thinking to work with complex datasets and identify trends.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field.
