Zafin is seeking a Technical Architect to join their team in Toronto, Canada. The Technical Architect will serve as a subject matter expert, understanding both the Bank’s needs and strategy, as well as Zafin’s product capabilities. This role involves developing architecture for complex business and technical needs, providing blueprints for development teams, and ensuring the architecture caters to non-functional requirements. The Technical Architect will also maintain knowledge of industry best practices and lead customer engagements from a technology and integration perspective.
The role involves:
- Researching, selecting, prototyping, and implementing architecture/design solutions.
- Articulating technology solutions to address business problems.
- Defining technology architecture within the overall enterprise business framework.
- Supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer business needs as part of software delivery.
- Participating in requirements elicitation and conducting discovery sessions.
- Creating, reviewing, and presenting specification documents.
- Assisting team members in conducting regular design and code reviews.
Requirements:
- Degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of technology design experience including systems, applications or architecture.
- 7+ years of experience with cloud architecture, framework, and design patterns.
- 5+ years of experience in working with teams building microservices.
- Domain knowledge of banking and financial institutions and/or large enterprise IT environment.
- Proficiency in Core Java, Spring Boot, Web Services (REST, SOAP), Kafka, and Design Patterns.
- Familiarity using development tools: IDE, Unit testing tools, Build tools, Source control and code review tools.
