Job Description

Heritage is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its Engineering organization. Heritage is innovating in the alternative investment space by combining traditional investment strategies with technology and data-driven methodologies. The Senior Software Engineer will collaborate with the CTO and senior engineers to develop user-facing products, back-office tools, and automation mechanisms.

The role involves:

  • Leading technical projects and laying the groundwork for early-stage products.
  • Designing, building, and maintaining APIs, user-facing experiences, services, and systems.
  • Debugging production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.
  • Developing and executing against short- and long-term roadmaps.
  • Making effective tradeoffs that consider business priorities, user experience, and a sustainable technical foundation.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of industry front-end and/or back-end development experience.
  • Experience building, running, and debugging web applications using modern JS/TS frameworks (React, Node.js (Fastify), GraphQL, Functional Programming).
  • Passion for performance and API design.
  • Appreciation for functional programming and good documentation.
  • High level of attention to detail, especially around performance, reliability, and security.
  • Preference for simple solutions and designs.
  • Previous experience in the FinTech field (not mandatory).
  • Fluency in English.
