Job Description
Valon is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead and support its growing engineering team. This role involves leading 4+ engineers across one or more teams, working closely with reports, and partnering with product, design, and operations. The Engineering Manager will empower their team through mentorship, defining long-term strategy, providing technical leadership, and ensuring business value. They will also collaborate with peers to shape the engineering culture and direction at Valon.Responsibilities include ensuring successful business outcomes, developing R&D strategies, building a talented team, setting high standards, offering technical guidance, and driving continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will have tech lead or engineering management experience, at least 4+ years of software engineering experience, a track record of building teams, experience in complex technical environments, and excellent communication skills. They should also possess strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Tech Lead or Engineering Management experience preferred.
- At least 4+ years of software engineering experience.
- Demonstrated track record of building and empowering long lasting teams.
- Experience working in a highly complex and technical environment.
- Experience working in a fast paced and ambiguous startup environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
