Job Description

Wunderflats, a leading platform for flexible furnished housing based in Berlin, is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead their Finance and Legal & Compliance departments. The CFO will be a key member of the C-level team, collaborating with the advisory board and reporting to a high-performing team.

The role involves:

  • Supervising the Finance and Legal & Compliance teams.
  • Contributing to the overall company strategy.
  • Managing all types of financing (debt and equity).
  • Overseeing P&L, cash flow budgeting, audit processes, and investor reporting.
  • Collaborating with the advisory board and maintaining investor relations.
  • Developing controlling, accounting operations, and risk management processes.
  • Managing tax reporting and relationships with external vendors.
  • Leading operational excellence through structure, process, and reporting.

Wunderflats requires:

  • Expertise in developing comprehensive company strategies.
  • Experience in due diligence for growth and private equity funding rounds.
  • Strong background in managing P&L, cash flow, budgeting, accounting, and controlling.
  • In-depth knowledge of tax reporting and compliance.
  • A track record of guiding companies through international expansion.
  • Proficiency in English, German is an asset.
  • Minimum of five years in a senior finance role, preferably as VP Finance or CFO.
  • Demonstrated capability in managing diverse financing structures including debt, mezzanine, and equity.
  • Excitement for and understanding of M&A, crucial for facilitating company growth.
  • Experience in developing and implementing payment and pricing.
