Job Description
The NFL is seeking a Broadcast Engineer to join their Broadcast Engineering team at their West Coast Headquarters in Inglewood, CA. The ideal candidate will have expertise in signal transmission, system documentation, and broadcast workflows within a live production environment, particularly within an ST-2110 infrastructure. The Broadcast Engineer's responsibilities include:
  • Understanding technical facility and related video/audio and IT equipment and systems.
  • Diagnosing video system and IT problems rapidly.
  • Contributing to the design, development, and deployment of broadcast video/audio and IT equipment.
  • Training production personnel on the operation of complex broadcast equipment.
  • Lifting heavy equipment for installation and maintenance.
Requirements for the role include:
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure during live events.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of broadcast standards, digital signal processing, and network technologies.
  • Experience with broadcast-specific software and hardware from manufacturers including Adobe, Arista, Cobalt, DNF, Imagine, Quantum, Riedel, Solid State Logic, Sony, VizRT, and VMWare ESXi.
  • Strong knowledge of Apple, Microsoft and Linux systems.
  • Knowledge of fiber standards.
