Solaris, a tech company with a full German banking license, is seeking a Sr. AFC Advisory Manager to join their team in Berlin. In this role, the individual will provide continuous advice on product enhancement, support the onboarding of new cooperation partners and products, and assess Third Party Risk Assessments. They will also prepare and implement training courses, monitor the performance of cooperation partners regarding AFC compliance, and extend process documentation.
The role involves:
- Continuous advice on the enhancement of products
- Support with the on-boarding of new cooperation partners and products
- Assessing of Third Party Risk Assessment (TPRA) and Modification of Operational Processes and Structure (MOPS)
- Preparation and implementation of training courses
- Monitoring the performance of cooperation partners with regard to AFC compliance issues and communication with the respective partner managers
- Extension of the documentation of processes
- Instruction and professional support for employees and cooperation partners
- Coordination of BaFin requests and Internal and/or External Auditors
- Preparation of Annual AFC Report, German ExCo report governance
The ideal candidate will have:
- Extensive experience (5+ years) in anti-financial crime compliance within the financial services industry
- In-depth knowledge of German and EU regulations pertaining to anti-money laundering, sanctions, and fraud prevention
- Proven track record of leading successful AFC initiatives
- Experiences with local regulators is a plus
- Ability to work well under pressure, different priorities, and tight deadlines
- Professional certifications such as CAMS or ACAMS preferred
- Fluency in English and German is required
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
