Head of Risk Controlling (f/m/d) at Solaris

Solaris, a tech company with a full German banking license, is seeking a Head of Risk Controlling to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory risk management requirements and support the leadership team in maintaining a robust risk framework. The Head of Risk Controlling will lead the Risk Controlling function across Solaris Bank and Solaris Group, providing strategic guidance and oversight on all risk-related matters.

Role Involves:

• Leading, developing, and growing the Risk Controlling team.
• Supporting the Management Board in all risk policy issues.
• Carrying out the risk inventory and preparing the overall risk profile.
• Establishing, maintaining, and further developing a system of risk indicators and an early risk detection process.
• Ongoing monitoring of the institution's risk situation and risk-bearing capacity.
• Preparing risk reports for management and presentation to risk committees.
• Ensuring full compliance with operational risk management and business continuity processes.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of relevant experience in Risk Management within the banking industry.
• Strong knowledge of economic, business, accounting, mathematical, and statistical principles.
• Proficiency in risk management software and tools.
• Deep understanding of banking laws, regulatory requirements, and compliance frameworks.
• Proven experience managing and developing stakeholder relationships.
• Leadership experience, including team development and management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and German.
• Strong analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail.
