Solaris is looking for a Senior Risk Controlling Manager to join their team in Berlin. This role involves contributing to the bank's overall risk profile and ensuring the operational fulfillment of risk management processes. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial risk management and a strong understanding of German banking regulations. Experience with ZEB methodologies or risk transformation consulting is a plus.
The role involves:
- Carrying out risk inventory and creating overall risk profile of the bank and the group
- Operational fulfillment of risk management and controlling processes
- Development and maintenance of risk indicators
- Validation of applied methods in relation to ICAAP
- Monitoring the risk situation and risk-bearing capacity
- Preparing risk reports and presentations
- Supporting in the developing of staff in the Financial Risk Management team
- Reporting on Risk Management and related initiatives
- Coordinating and participating internal/external meetings
- Fulfilling relevant tasks related to outsourcing agreements
- Deputy of Risk Controlling Function including monitoring and communication of material risks including potential impact from Sustainability (ESG) Risks
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in financial risk management or risk controlling
- Experience with ZEB methodologies, risk transformation consulting
- Hands on experience with ICAAP and stress testing frameworks
- Knowledge of economics, accounting, risk management, mathematics, or statistics
- Educational degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or any other related field
- Knowledge of German banking regulations and regulatory standards related to risk management
- Analytical and detail-oriented
- Integrity and strong stakeholder management skills
- Fluent in English, German communication skills a strong advantage
