Principal Engineer

Job Description

The Principal Software Engineer role at Tebra involves leading architectural decisions, writing code, and solving complex technical problems. The role requires driving collaboration across teams to ensure successful outcomes and acting as a mentor and thought leader, flexing between hands-on coding and high-level strategic leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Establish deep product and technology knowledge.
• Lead architect and write code.
• Creatively solve complex problems.
• Partner across multiple teams to drive successful outcomes.
• Actively review architecture and technical approach, ensuring organizational alignment.
• Provide tangible and actionable technical feedback to engineers.

Requirements:

• 12+ years of software engineering experience.
• 8+ years of technical leadership experience
• Proficiency in languages such as Python, Java, PHP, and JavaScript.
• Experience with frameworks like Vue, React, Flask, and SpringBoot.
• Experience with databases like MySQL, Oracle, Postgres, DynamoDB, and Firestore.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP.
• Tenacity and creativity to solve difficult problems with a focus on customers.
• Strong technical mentoring skills.
