IC4 – Infra Sr Engineer - Observability

Job Description

Spin is seeking an Infra Sr Engineer - Observability to join their Platform Engineering team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about designing and optimizing observability solutions to drive system reliability and user experience. This role involves providing technical leadership, optimizing alerting frameworks, and implementing observability platforms.

Role involves:

• Providing technical leadership in observability.
• Redesigning and optimizing alerting frameworks.
• Leading the implementation and optimization of observability platforms.
• Collaborating with engineering, SRE, and security teams.
• Analyzing observability data to identify trends and performance bottlenecks.
• Championing root cause analysis and long-term solutions.
• Developing and maintaining clear, actionable dashboards.
• Mentoring engineering teams on instrumentation, telemetry, and observability best practices.
• Ensuring observability data collection and access controls meet regulatory requirements.
• Exploring and implementing new technologies to enhance observability capabilities.
• Contributing to the overall observability strategy.
• Fostering a culture of proactive problem-solving and system ownership.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 7+ years of experience in observability or related fields.
• Advanced knowledge of Java, Node.js, .NET, and scripting (Bash, Python).
• Deep understanding of observability concepts (monitoring, logging, tracing).
• Proficiency with advanced observability tools and platforms (e.g., Datadog, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
• English proficiency (Advanced).
