M1 - Infra Lead - Observability

Job Description

Spin is seeking an Observability Lead to redefine observability and drive system reliability across its engineering organization. The Observability Lead will be responsible for transforming how Spin monitors, analyzes, and optimizes its systems for maximum performance and user impact.Here’s what this role involves:

• Leading and mentoring a team of observability engineers.
• Redesigning and implementing an observability architecture.
• Defining and enforcing observability best practices.
• Optimizing the integration and usage of observability platforms.
• Developing a structured alerting strategy.
• Partnering with SRE, engineering, and product teams.
• Leading post-incident analysis.
• Designing and maintaining dashboards.
• Promoting a proactive observability mindset.
• Providing training and documentation.
• Collaborating with security and compliance teams.
• Staying ahead of industry trends.

Here’s what Spin is looking for:

• 8+ years of experience in observability, SRE, or infrastructure operations.
• Proven leadership experience.
• Deep understanding of observability principles.
• Expertise with Datadog, Opsgenie, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and similar tools.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Experience designing alerting frameworks.
• Ability to drive cultural and process change.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Experience in regulated environments.
• Advanced English proficiency.
