Spin is seeking an experienced Engineering Lead to join their Credit Squad. This role involves a 50/50 split between technical responsibilities and people management, requiring the candidate to lead and coordinate a team of approximately six engineers. Role involves:

  • Leading, mentoring, and supporting autonomous development teams.
  • Facilitating Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
  • Collaborating with architects and technical leaders.
  • Ensuring compliance with SLA, SLO, and SLI.
  • Conducting and guiding code reviews.
  • Overseeing QA processes.
  • Partnering with SRE teams.
  • Promoting secure, scalable, and maintainable development practices.
  • Creating road maps and execution plans.
  • Managing dependencies, risks, and technical debt.
  • Providing feedback and coaching to team members.
  • Measuring team performance and delegating tasks effectively.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years in leadership and mentoring roles.
  • Expertise in Java, Spring Boot, HTML, CSS, JavaScript; desirable experience with GoLang and React (Next.js) or React Native.
  • Strong experience in microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and containerized development.
  • Experience in cloud development (AWS & Serverless Computing).
  • Knowledge of secure development practices (SAST, DAST, and MAST).
  • Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub, GitHub Actions, SonarCloud, Terraform, Docker).
  • Strong adaptability and excellent communication skills.
  • Fluent in English.
