Job Description

Spin is seeking an Engineering Lead to manage a team within the Credit Squad. This role involves a 50/50 split between technical responsibilities and people management, requiring the candidate to lead and coordinate a team of approximately six frontend, backend, and full-stack engineers. The Engineering Lead will ensure the successful delivery of scalable, secure, and maintainable technical projects, aligning technical deliverables with business goals while maintaining quality standards.

The role involves:

  • Leading, mentoring, and supporting autonomous development teams.
  • Facilitating Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
  • Collaborating with architects and technical leaders.
  • Ensuring compliance with SLA, SLO, and SLI.
  • Conducting and guiding code reviews.
  • Overseeing QA processes.
  • Partnering with SRE teams.
  • Promoting secure, scalable, and maintainable development practices.
  • Encouraging innovation and the adoption of new tools and methodologies.
  • Providing feedback and coaching to team members.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in software development, with 2+ years in leadership.
  • Expertise in Java, Spring Boot, HTML, CSS, JavaScript; experience with GoLang, React (Next.js), or React Native is desirable.
  • Strong experience in microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
  • Experience in cloud development (AWS & Serverless Computing).
  • Knowledge of secure development practices (SAST, DAST, MAST).
  • Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub, GitHub Actions, SonarCloud, Terraform, Docker).
  • Fluent in English.
