SILMC is seeking a IC2 - Software Engineer Backend to support backend development. The Software Engineer will collaborate on small-scale components, including tools and microservices applications, and participate in the development and testing of successful software solutions. The role involves resolving straightforward technical issues and following standards and guidelines for secure development under the guidance of the Engineering Lead.

Role Involves:

  • Developing software solutions that meet business requirements and technical specifications.
  • Developing and maintaining APIs to support various applications and services.
  • Implementing solutions using container technologies, ensuring application efficiency and scalability.
  • Gathering and documenting functional and non-functional requirements in JIRA stories.
  • Writing unit tests and perform integration tests.
  • Maintaining updated documentation on architectures, procedures, and operational tools.
  • Developing tools and scripts to automate operational tasks and improve efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Software Engineer.
  • Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
  • Experience with tools like Maven, Gradle, Github Actions, Sonar Cloud.
  • Practice in Scrum and Jira management.
  • Experience with creation of microservices and consumption of REST services, RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with Git for version control and collaboration.
  • At least 1 year of professional experience in Java or .NET development.
